Sandlewood figure of Buddha

Height:17,5cm/14,5cm


Seated in virasana, his right hand in abhayamudra. The left resting on his lab, wearing samghati, his face with serene expression, incised eyes, smiling lips, elongated earlobes, curled hairdress and usnisha which is surmounted by a flame. The sandalwood has been cleaned and over the years it will get the warm patina as the sandelwoodoil evaporates from the wood.
